OOC: Last Month

We have some new AC requirements as well as a list of things that are going to be needed for endgame.
AC Requirements
The new AC has been changed to two samples, and the rules have been updated to reflect this, under B.)3.
"Activity will be two samples each month. An example of an activity sample is a network post with some comments, a log with some comments (starters for group logs included), or a thread with ten comments from your character. Any two of these or combination will work for AC, such as two posts, a log and a post, or two threads. Combining threads is allowed."
We're hoping tht this will make AC easier for current cast to keep up with as well as encourage posting.
Final Month
We're coming up on the final month of the season (admittedly the game got a late start), and we're asking for help in setting the final series of events in motion.
Among the current cast there is a potential problem, someone who will cause a lot of trouble for everyone at the end of the season. Before they make what's either a purposeful strategic move or a terrible mistake that will endanger everyone, certain things need to be discovered. As we're still low on explorers, we're going to list some of them here and hope you can take over from there.
- The Golems: In some of the temples there are aging engravings of what look like giant robots, "Iron Golems". They appear to be standing around people that represent the former inhabitants of the planet in some, holding flowers out to them in others. In those images they seem to be nothing but peaceful giants. There are others of them crushing what looks to be the death god, a skeletal archer, spiders, and some decrepit, decayed figures.
Try not to think too hard about those last ones, you won't have to worry about them for a while.
They can probably be identified as protectors of the people, and any amount of information on them can be found. The images themselves, plans for how they were made, parts of golems... we're not really picky about this. And besides being a bit of background they're one possible solution (or an idea for a solution, considering AI technology not only already exists here but is abundent).
- The Spawners: Yes, there are spawners found, already. As mentioned here there are some spawners with limited capacity and they've been replicated for domestic use, but littered throughout the planet, in yet undiscovered areas, there are larger far more complex spawners. Ones that would be nearly impossible to decode in a lifetime, between complexity and age. They're currently inactive, large caged things that are hidden in large hidden rooms in dark caverns.
The good thing is finding the spawners will lead to finding more artifacts. As of now, they're just large cubes behind a metal cage. There's one in the general area of the village, underneath it, but someone will have to discover it. Possibilities range from snooping, to falling through the ground outside the village after a particularly bad rain, to finding a private location intending to make a shady deal.
- The Diamond Armor: There's a set of armor somewhere in the ruins that's nigh on impenetrable for as long as it holds up. It won't protect its wearer from fire damage, but it's light and will hold up against something with the force of creepers (grenade level explosions, small artillery) for a long time. Whoever finds this has the option of keeping it or turning it over to the museum. It conforms to the user, looking something like this (but with white plating) for either a man or a woman. This one is first come, first serve, and requires someone actually playing out going through one of the desert temples. We need this to happen so an expedition can be sent back there later.
These are just things we would like to be found, and since everyone has worked together well so far we decided to leave it up to you how and who should find them, and plan around doing it. Plot and plan wherever you can, but post something here so other people can see what your general ideas are; not everyone is friended to each other on plurk and AIM.
The Off-season
Since things are generally kind of slow, we're considering things like doing some sort of "documentary" of what characters do during the off season. This mean you could drop us threads that would otherwise be "private" that occur in public locations and bits of them would be highlighted on a network "show". Also NPC reporters might sit characters down on occasion and ask them about the events of the previous month and where they come from.
What would help us out for next season is if we could eventually build up the criminal organizations, but we will see how things go. A player plot recommendation post will go up soon.

Though I also had one chest once that was nothing but zombie meat and bones, so maybe there should be a gross chest too just so everyone can wonder what the hell went on there

As for off season stuff, I'd love to run some kind of Hulk plot, but I have no useful details or scenarios to suggest, haha. If anyone has requests, I'm all ears.

And excellent! Someone finding the spawner will definitely help.

Once RL settles down a bit for me I will definitely make a move on finding the spawner and probably contact you about details.

The golems do sounds fun for him to run into, but he'd need to partner up with someone to go exploring that far.
