Also! I've been pondering whether at one of the check points during the race would be a good time for Niles to lose gloves/break a hand strap thing or something and be deeply uncomfortable until Niko gives him gloves.
Yeah, it occurred to me that during the race they'd be far away from the resort so that Niles couldn't just pop back to his room and get a fresh pair. So we can run with that.
