After the Slip 'n' Slide event, an incident in which friction went strange in small spots of the town for short periods of time, there was a considerable amount of damage. For people new to the game, Blackway is under quarantine after the skeleton spawners were activated, and as they have not discovered a way to turn them off beyond breaking them the quarantine has not been lifted. That means Jeffers, the AI that runs the resort, has been depending on recruiting people through use of the teleporter. To fix the damages he will be hiring on some temp workers to come in.
Anyone hired for temporary work will recieve:
Free living space and food for the duration of their stay.
Free services from some of the venders (not the brothel, sorry).
A free ticket to any point in their home universe that they wish to be taken when they're done. They have to stay in the same time period, but another planet? Another continent? Sure.
What would pass for a decent month's wages in their home economy. Not a bad deal for three days of work.
That's right. The 4th wall will go on in a log post for three days in game, on M12 D3-D5 (on Mar 7 - 15). The only restrictions for characters are that they have to be able to navigate the village (and if they are giant they can take avatar loaners for those few days). It will have prompts for various parts of the village as well as options. Potential players can use their 4th wall thread(s) instead of test drive threads. Meetings and interactions do count for game canon. ICly our information will go up on the next news post.
Sounds like a plan, then! Do you mind if I take her from during 4? I think we can manage to dodge spoilers, and I don't see a good opening for her to leave at the end of 3.
I don't mind at all! I haven't listened to 4 yet, but I don't mind spoilers if something potentially spoilery should organically come up in a thread. (I'm one of those people who seeks out spoilers a lot.)
Okay, that's good to know! This business of getting characters to come in voluntarily is difficult... I'm not exactly going to convince Liv to come for the fun or the money XD. But I have an idea that should work.
I would love Beyond Good and Evil castmates to join Jade even just for a few days! Besides that, I'm planning to bring one or two of my homeless muses for this event, namely from Mother 3 or Legend of Korra, and it'd be nice if I teamed up with someone else from those canons.
I'm bringing this Zhu Li! Probably post-canon where she's helping out while expanding the company to other planets because why not? And she wouldn't mind the strange happenings that occur in town.
lbr, I'm not about to get a flood of Dollar Trilogy people coming my way, but obviously they'd be stupidly welcome if the urge happened to hit you. :V
Otherwise, idk, given my lack of free time, I probably shouldn't drag anyone in.....but if I did, I'd possibly look at having a go at Jack Walsh, Arbie or Sweet Dee.
