Utrecht Visscher wasn't hardy, but he was one of the few willing to go out in this particular climate. It was cold and it chilled him right through his thick jacket. He had the hood of it pulled up, faux fur keeping his face warm as the wind cut at the outside of it. He held his ground as he checked his scanner, still receiving no readings. They might have found a cave and went under the ice. While he hoped in part that was the case, it also meant that quite likely he wasn't going to pick up their signal, and while they were only slightly safer from the cold they weren't going to be from whatever was in the caves and they were going to be harder to find.
He looked over at his travelling companion before shoving his gloves higher up on his fingers. "How much longer do you think we have before they call in more search teams?" he asked, his German accent almost negligible, his "w" leaning closer to a "v", but otherwise was barely there. He hoped there would be more search teams, but there were a lot of other matters to be tended to among the civilians of Blackway and this was a risk that exploration teams were expected to endure in choosing their occupation.
